This is actually a great position for someone wanting to be exposed to the broader Total Rewards area (including Health & Welfare, Savings & Retirement, Compensation, etc.) as well as HR Operations.

The selected individual will start with about a two year period in the H&W area where they will be exposed to some plan design, compliance, communication, project management and other related tasks, then will move on to work in the Savings & Retirement, Compensation and HR Operations areas. They may spend up to two years in each of these other areas. Progression through these trainee slots will be based on previous background, abilities and opportunities that are available. The period spent in HR Operations will likely be in an HR Administrator role in one of our Treasure Valley plant locations where they will be involved in the day-to-day HR world. Although this will be viewed as a management trainee position, there will be real value added assignments and accountabilities. This position will provided the opportunity for an individual to become well rounded in the Total Rewards area and become a foundation strategy in the succession planning process for Simplot's Total Rewards management positions. In addition, they will gain excellent skills and background for a future HR manager role.
