Re: 2008-2009 Membership
The San Diego Chapter has started a new year and we want you to be part of it!
Our chapter meetings continue to be an excellent opportunity for dialogue with other benefits professionals in the San Diego community. Monthly meetings and periodic seminars feature locally and nationally renowned speakers who provide updates on the latest developments in our industry.
Annual membership in the San Diego chapter is a real bargain. Included are six lunch meetings, discounts to the half-day Spring Seminar focused on timely benefits topics, discounted rates to several Seminars-on-Demand for more technically-focused discussions, plus a reduced rate for the annual chapter-wide conference. All of the education programs qualify for continuing education, including MCLE. Membership dues for 2008-2009 are:
· Pay-As-You-Go Membership: $100 plus $55* for each lunch meeting
· Prepaid Membership: $300 plus no cost for lunch meetings (a savings of up to $130!)
· Renewal Deadline: August 29, 2008
Non-member guests are welcome to attend our lunch meetings for $70*. We strongly encourage you to bring guests to introduce them to WP&BC for future membership.
*We are introducing a $10 early-registration discount this year. You can save $10 off the lunch meeting fees if you pay for your reservation by the RSVP deadline published for each lunch meeting.
The quickest way to renew your membership is by visiting our website at www.WesternPension.org and selecting “Membership” from the top of the page, or click here to go straight to the membership page. If you have used our website before, be sure to log in on the left-hand side of the screen. Then select the San Diego Chapter in the drop-down box and follow the prompts to renew your membership. If you can’t remember your password, simply enter your email address and then click “Forgot your password”. An email will be sent to you with a new password. The website continues to be the best resource for upcoming meeting information, along with a roster of members for all 14 chapters of the Western Pension and Benefits Conference. Plus, you will find details about this year’s annual conference in Denver.
Our first lunch meeting of the year will be on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at the DoubleTree Hotel in Mission Valley. Information about this meeting is now posted on the WP&BC website, where you will have the opportunity to register. Other lunch meetings are scheduled for:
